Property Development and Self Storage Containers

 

I would like to say a big thank you to Safe Self Storage for providing a flexible storage solution to our requirement for short term storage. We are a firm of property developers who do our own interior design for the show homes we sell and also for the furnished properties we let.

Safe Self Storage saved us from making the mistake of signing for a long term lease on a storage warehouse that we only need occasionally, this has saved us a small fortune. From time to time we need to refurbish our properties mostly apartments as and when a tenant leaves. Sometimes we need to take delivery of furniture before a property is ready to furnish or we have to empty the furniture out of a house whilst the decorators and other tradesmen do their work. With Safe Self Storage we are able to rent storage containers as and when we need them or not as the case may be.

At times we work long and unusual hours to get a property ready so having access to the site and our storage containers at any time of the day or night is an absolute blessing. We also feel secure in the knowledge that our staff and goods are in a safe environment as the storage site is fully covered by CCTV and lighting. Only people with security swipe fobs can drive into the storage amenity and that is an added security measure we are really pleased to have.

The rental housing market has started to pick up as much as the sales of property have slowed down but we are as busy as ever with the removal and movement of furniture around our properties and there have been some logistical headaches to sort out. Safe Self Storage has been there for us at very short notice and I don’t mind saying has saved our skins on more than one occasion.

  • Store clothing in wardrobe boxes so you can hang your garments.neatly stored in self storage
  • Wrap wooden furniture, mirrors and picture frames in blankets or paper pads.to keep them safe in self storage
  • Dishes and glasses should be wrapped in packing paper and placed in dish pack self storage boxes.
  • Furniture with drawers can be utilized as storage places for knickknacks, china, silverware and small items.to be stored in self storage
  • Store small, non-flammable items like pots and pans inside of large appliances, such as stoves or refrigerators washing machines
  When storing lawn and garden equipment, drain any fluids prior to storage to avoid corrosive damage.to your goods or our storage units
  Be careful not to store anything combustible (such as paint and chemicals) or perishable (such as food that is not permanently sealed).
  When storing business files, label all boxes and construct aisles so files are easily seen and accessible.
  Make an inventory list of all your stored items and keep it in a safe place at home or in a safe deposit box.

  Don't stack higher than you can comfortably reach.
